When is an individual number available?

An individual number is available and can be applied for if it meets the following conditions:

  • It is not assigned to a holder.
  • It is not currently in quarantine.

When a holder returns an individual number to OFCOM, it is placed in quarantine for six months (see Art. 7 para. 2 of the Ordinance on Addressing Resources in the Telecommunications Sector TSRO ; available only in German, French or Italian only). After six months, the individual number becomes available again and can be applied for.
